Waltham Forest Parklets
Last month we worked with Erect Architecture to document three parklets in Waltham Forest. The parklets were commissioned by London Borough of Waltham Forest to support their active transport strategy and provide infrastructure to encourage walking, cycling and use of public transport.
Their aim was to enhance the surrounding public space with the addition of seating and greenery, providing an opportunity to rest on the go or to stop and spend more time in the local area.
Our images of Froth and Rind Parklet show that this has been a definite success, the whole of Orford Road was lively and activated when we visited. The road is semi pedestrianised and other shops/cafes now have seating along the road too.
