Millennium Bridge 14 years apart

We document all the London View Management Framework images annually and it's always intriguing to compare the changes over time, especially since the original document was produced way back in 2012. 2012 doesn’t feel that long ago, the build up to the London Olympics seemed like it was just yesterday but alas it was 14 years ago.

There are 2 views from the Millennium Bridge, 1 on the bridge and one to the right hand side looking across to St Pauls at riverside. As you would expect with a view so close to the protected St Pauls not a lot has changed in the intervening 14 years. The only real change has been the addition of One Millennium Bridge by Piercy and Company , the new building actually improves visibility across the river with a lower profile and a façade more in keeping with the stone of St Pauls. This in itself is quite interesting as most new building in London add height or bulk.
